Peace 2000 Institute a non profit organization with associates
in more than 40 countries. Peace 2000 has for a number of years
flown humanitarian aid to children in war torn areas. The
organization has produced TV infomercials against violence and
is now expanding it's media work with the launch of a
cooperative grassroots television network with a focus on peace,
human rights, reconciliation and community building. Peace 2000
is developing the concept of the Althing Peace Assembly as
an important step towards democratic development towards peace
in the Middle East and other conflict areas.
Peace 2000 was founded in 1995 at a meeting set by the
Icelandic Minister for the Environment with 500 people and
speakers from organizations around the world, including UNESCO,
World Court Project and the Chernobyl Childrens Project.
About Our
Santa Flights
Peace 2000
has been awarded for its Santa aid flights to war torn areas
done under a special permission of the UN Security Council, by
the Gandhi Foundation, UNESCO and the Greek Orthodox Church who
decorated its founder, Icelandic Presidential Candidate Thor
Magnusson with their Holy Gold Cross for humanitarian work at a
ceremony in memory of Mother Theresa and Princess Diana.
Our
aim is to use all of the proceeds from The Birthday Lottery to
fund a continuous programme of SANTA FLIGHTS. Each flight costs
£100,000 to fill. Your entry can really make a difference and
ensure someone suffering in one of the many war torn areas of
the world can have a very special day.
On each flight we can carry
up to 100,000 Christmas Gifts in addition to humanitarian aid
such as medical supplies, food and clothing.
One entry per week in the
Birthday Lottery will help bring that very special gift to a
child in a war torn country next Christmas. Two, three,
four or five entries may help Santa bring that magic spirit and
peace of Christmas into the home of a whole family!

About
Charity Technology Trust
Charity Technology Trust (‘CTT’) was formed in 2001 with
the aim of helping charities improve their use of Information
Technology. Many charities face problems making effective use of
IT. This may be because of issues with budget, resources, or
change management, or simply through a poor understanding of how
technology can improve their marketing, communications,
fundraising, service delivery and administration.
Charity Technology Trust was formed specifically to both inform
the charity sector of what is possible, and to provide the best
solutions available at affordable rates, through the innovative
application of private sector capabilities.
Our mission is to provide the best technology solutions
available to enhance the ways in which charities interact with
their supporters and clients, and manage their administration.
We aim to build a sustainable presence in the sector and to
substantially grow the impact we have by providing a high value
‘bridge’ between the Private and the Not For Profit Sectors
CTT have already helped over 120 charities save millions of
pound in new efficiencies and to raise millions in new revenues.
