The following are the terms upon which we

1.Promoter and Purpose: The Birthday Lottery is promoted by Peacecall Ltd, a not for profit company owned by the Peace 2000 Institute. All profits from the lottery are for the benefit of the charitable work of the Peace 2000 Institute and Charity Technology Trust.

2.Lottery License: The Lottery is registered with the City of London / Corporation of London. Registration No: 455 under the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976

3.Official Website: The Official website and point of reference for the Birthday
Lottery is: www.birthdaylottery.org. Here Peacecall will publish announcements and information on a regular basis for the Lottery Subscribers such as rules of entry and any amendments thereto, winning numbers and prizes.

4. Terms

The following are the terms upon which we PeaceTrust.net are involved in assisting you (the purchaser of lottery chances) to buy one or more lottery chances from Peacecall Limited, which is promoting this lottery ("the Promoter") via this website:-

a. Your purchase of lottery chances is from the Promoter solely in accordance with the terms under which the Promoter from time to time promotes its lotteries. Full details of these terms can be supplied to you upon request by e-mailing to player support at the email address listed above. The general terms and conditions of use of the promoting Promoter’s website are available by clicking on the Promoter’s logo (top left of the raffle screen) and reviewing the terms and conditions of use of their website.

b. By registering on this website you acknowledge that you will have no claim against us for any failure of any equipment or software (wherever located or administered and whether or not under our control) or any other delay or failure which may delay or prevent your purchase of lottery chances.

c. You represent and agree that:-

(i) You are over 16 years of age.

(ii) You are resident in Great Britain.

(iii) You will not buy (or purport to buy) any lottery chance on behalf of anybody else.

(iv) Neither we nor our shareholders, directors, officers or agents are liable for any loss or damage which you may suffer (including without limitation in direct or consequential loss or damage, loss of profits or any other loss whatsoever) arising out of or in connection with your use of this website.

(v) You will provide accurate registration information, including your name, personal address, e-mail address and password, and accept that it is your duty to maintain these up to date and current on this website.

(vi) We can at any time (and without assigning any reason) refuse to accept and/or cancel your registration on this website. So long as you have complied with the foregoing obligations and the terms referred to in paragraph 1 above, such cancellation will not affect your prior purchase of any lottery chance by means of this website nor your rights as a holder of such lottery chance.

(vii) You will keep your e-mail address and password confidential and
and accept that you are responsible for any misuse of such password.

d. You agree that you shall not be entitled to receive any prize if you are unable to substantiate to the promoting Promoter your representations under paragraphs 3 (i), (ii) and (iii) above.

e. You agree that we are the sole owner of all rights to technology, software and business systems utilized in this website and that your use of this website (and registration thereon) confers no rights whatsoever to intellectual property contained or utilized therein. Use or publication by you of any item displayed on this website is strictly prohibited. Subject thereto (and to the rights of copyright owners other than ourselves) documents appearing on this website may be copied by you for your personal use only and on condition that the copyright notice and source indications are also copied, that no modifications are made and that the document is copied in its entirety.

f. You consent to our use of information you provide to us as set out in our Security and Privacy Policy which can be viewed by clicking here.

5.Rules of Entry - The Lucky Day: Lottery subscriber shall select two numbers for a selected lucky day and two numbers for a calendar month. This is known as the Selected Lucky Day. Subscriber's two initials, or two alphabetical letters of his/her choice, are registered with the Lucky Day. For example: Subscriber John Smith who selects his Lucky Day as 4th. August, becomes entry: JS-04-08 in the Lottery.

6.The Draw: The draw is based on information published each Monday in obituary section of The Independent Newspaper, London. The information is available each Monday morning in the printed version of the paper and on the website: http://news.independent.co.uk/people/obituaries/
The Birthday lottery draw results are made as follows:
1. Lucky Date = Equals the first birthday mentioned in the section.
2. The first alphabet code = Equals the first letter in the text starting with the first persons name.
3. The second alphabet code = Equals the tenth text letter.
4. In the event that there is not a tenth text letter in the text starting with the first person’s name. The next person mentioned will be used.
5.
This makes up the week’s draw results in the format of 0000AB being (1-2-3-

7.Winners

The winners are selected as follows:

Matching all 6 characters = Jackpot Prize
Matching last 5 characters = 2nd Prize,
Matching last 4 characters = 3rd Prize,
Matching last 3 characters = 4th Prize.
Matching last 2 characters = Runner Up prize

8.Prizes:

The Prize structure is as follows:

Jackpot = £25,000,
Queen Jackpot = £250,
3rd Prize = £100,
4th Prize = £50,
Runners Up Prize = book of travel vouchers (£500 in savings)

Subscribers will be advised by post or email of their prizes at their last known address. Any address changes should be notified to: admin@birthdaylottery.org or by Post to: The Birthday Lottery, Lloyds Building, 12 Leadenhall Street, London EC3V 1LP. Fax: 0870 164 3718. Any unclaimed prizes or prize cheques not banked after 6 months, will be transferred to the Peace 2000 Institute.

9.Rule Amendments: Peacecall reserves the right to modify these rules from time to time and publish any such updates and amendments to the Official Lottery Website. The current rules published by Peacecall shall prevail. Should any dispute arise, the decision of the Peace 2000 Institute shall be final.
